For the past two years, Red Bull has welcomed the creation of Red Bull Contest, an innovation competition on the theme of 72 hours, between officials of both teams against each other in the form of live-build. Last year, a number of competing teams showed their projects to the Maker to New York. An entry in particular never fails to give me a chuckle. Presented by team Instructables is the pants hilarious Romance intelligent project.
Participating teams were sent the custom Bullduino, Red Bull brand Arduino microcontroller. Team Instructables serves as the Bullduino of the loop belt, connected to a screen wireless modded, then shaped zipper potentiometer and switch size button, as shown in the diagram below. Combine that with some hacked, electric spark plugs (that use a combination of nichrome wire and shaved match head dust ignite quickly when connected to the power supply), a stereo remote hack, a six-output custom and some PDC emissions sexy and magic. The zipper being pulled down triggers, the dimming room lights and stereo volume up. When the size button is canceled, candles lights automatically. Roughly, showtime.
